This initial begins the Introit for the feast of St. Anthony of Padua (June 13), 'In medio ecclesiae aperuit os eius...' (In the midst of the temple, he opened his mouth).
This image shows the reverse of a leaf with a decorated initial from a gradual. This side of the leaf, the true verso, continues the Introit for the feast of St. Anthony of Padua, which begins on the front.

This initial begins an Introit for the Common of a Confessor Bishop, 'Sacerdotes eius induant salutare et sancti eius exultatione exultabunt ...' (Let his priests go in the vesture of triumph).
