Decoration: On the recto, a two-staff high initial [M] in colors with minimal acanthus scrolling into margins, historiated with the Annunciation: the Angel Gabriel kneeling at left, the Virgin seated at the right, a fortified city in the background. Binding: Housed in an oversize manilla folder. Origin: Written in Italy in the mid-fourteenth century. Immediate source of acquisition: Purchased in 1954 from La Bibliofilia, Milan.
