Date of manuscript approximated from liturgical evidence of contents (calendar includes the feast of St. Bernardino of Siena, canonized in 1450, but omits the feasts of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena, canonized in 1455 and 1461, respectively).
Two columns per page; horizontal catchwords; ruled in gray ink; written in gray ink in gothic bookhand (Italian textualis); music in square notation on four-line red staves; rubrics in red; initials alternating in red and blue throughout.
Imperfect: lacks leaf 131.
The manuscript was used by Franciscan nuns of the Order of St. Clare at the Monastero di Santa Chiara in Abbiategrasso, near Milan, and was later part of the collection amassed by Baron Horace de Landau (1824-1903). Landau's collection was inherited by his niece, Julia Florence Finaly de Cossette (1877-1938) and her husband Henri de Cossette (1876-1933). The volume includes bookplates of Baron...
