The versos show music on a large red 4-line staff and text in a gothic rotunda hand.
Drawn in tempera and colored inks with gold leaf.
The miniatures have been attributed to the Cremonese "Maestro dai fondi giallini".
"From the Cathedral of Como" and "No. 2" (inscriptions on verso of no. 1); Robert Hoe (his sale, 1912, part IV, lot 2361) to Quaritch.
