- Ff. 1-10r are in Vespasiano's hand. Ff. 10v-20 are in other (17th-century?) hands, signed as follows: Alessandro Fomelli (ff. 10v, 14-18), Il Sorbi (11-13), Giulio Cesare Tellani (19-20).
Vespasiano's specimens show a number of different mostly italic scripts, with ornate gothic initial letters, all in black and red. The other specimens are likewise in various scripts, including chancery hands, all in black and generally less formal.

Bound in 19th-century quarter brown leather and blue marbled paper.
