Incipit on folio a, recto, "Posuisti domine super capud eius coronam de lapide pretioso" (Responsory from the common of martyrs).
Layout: Written in 6 long lines, alternating with six 4-line red staves with F clefs and square notation in black; ruled in lead with double inner and outer parallel bounding lines. Catchword at lower right on verso. Inner margin reinforced with narrow parchment strip and two patches with gothic text.
Script: Gothic textualis.
Decoration: Alternating red and blue initials with elaborate pen flourishes in red and blue.
Origin: Written and decorated in Italy around 1340.
