Layout: Bifolium attached with stub. Border is a yellow band triple ruled on each side in black ink.
Other Decoration: Black and red ink for nomenclature in a cursive hand; land masses outlined in color, islands painted gold, red, or blue; 8 compass roses with usual 32 rhumb line network in black; red and green ink for principal directions; no latitude or longitude; 2 unnumbered scales of distance; decorated with vignettes of cities and an elaborate cartouche for one distance scale.

Sale of the library of Abate Luigi Celotti (ca. 1768-ca. 1846), Sotheby's, 14 March 1825, lot 207. A sale catalogue slip affixed to front pastedown describes a "map of the World on three leaves." Since this volume also contains the two charts made by Salvator Oliva (HM 02515) which form the first and second leaves and since neither is a "World map," the sale catalogue entry either was... - Keyword:
