Span folios: ff. 1-133v + f. 120r-v bis. Support: Parchment. Layout: 1-148 158(+8, f. 120) 168 176(-6). Catchword in a noting hand in the inner margin of f. 8v. Ruled space, 253 x 175 mm; 10 lines of text and music. Double vertical bounding lines in red ink, a single bounding line full across the bottom; the upper line of the top staff forms the top boundary line of the written space. Slash...
Music: Music on 4-line staves. Foliation in early form arabic numerals, except for 100, designated as "C"; hymns and verses numbered in arabic numerals in the margins; marginalia, including on f. 58v, "Maria mutter königin mutter der bahrmhertzigkeit." 17th century running titles added. f. 120 bis is a small tipped-in leaf.
Decoration: On f. 1, opening initial for Advent, 45 × 55 mm., in blue with simple void pattern and red flourishing; secondary initials in plain red or as cadels in the ink of the text filled in red.

In the lower margin of f. 1, the stamp "G.W.B.D." of Hugo, Graf von Waldbott-Bassenheim (1820-95) who acquired many manuscripts from the Carthusians of Buxheim; his sale, Munich, 20 September 1883, n. 2381 (German sale catalogue slip affixed to the front pastedown).
