Foliation: Parchment, i (modern parchment) + 227 + i (modern parchment); [x], 1-24, 35-117, [iii], i-cii, [i], ciii-cvi, [i]; Arabic foliation in red ink, upper right recto; Roman foliation in red ink, upper center recto; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto. Layout: Antiphonary is written in 7 staffs; lectionary is written in 21 long lines. Script: Written in Gothic textualis semi-quadrata script. Decoration: Rubrics in red; alternating red and blue lombard initials; lectionary has ten 4- to 7-line initials in interlocking blue and red, somewhat like puzzle initials (f. i, viii, lii, lix, lxiii verso, lxx verso, lxxi verso, lxxxvii verso, lxxxviii verso, xcvii verso). Binding: 20th-century leather in imitation of medieval binding, with ten brass bosses and two clasps. Origin: Written in the Chartreuse Saint-Sixte de Rettel, in the Grand-East region of northeastern France (Jos Bernaer) with the calendar and lectionary (f. 2r-7v, 120r-224v) written in the middle of the 15th century and the antiphonary (f. 11r.-116v) written in the last quarter of the 15th century (Les Enluminures). Originally owned by the Chartreuse Saint-Sixte de Rettel (based on the liturgical calendar). Sold by Les Enluminures (Paris & Chicago), 2007.
