MS 135 is composed of eight parchment court rolls relating to West Hanningfield, Essex, all of which are contemporary with one another and are joined together by a single parchment tie.
Written in England, probably in West Hanningfield between 1603 and 1611 (each document with different date). Item 1 on dorse: the number "59" in pencil. Item 2 on dorse: "843" in pencil. Items 4, 3, and 5 on dorse: three- to four-line near contemporary inscriptions concerning the nature of the documents; all include the name of Richard Humfrey and Richard Cannon.
