Initial T This initial begins an Introit for the Common of several Martyrs, 'Timete dominum omnes sancti eius ...' (Fear the Lord, all ye his saints). This image shows the reverse of a leaf with a decorated initial from a gradual. This side of the leaf, the true recto, contains a fragment of the Introit, 'Laudate pueri dominum ...' (Praise the Lord, ye children). This leaf can be dated to ca. 1300. Script: Rotunda
