This leaf contains the Magnificat antiphon for Friday Vespers and the beginning of Psalm 137:4, beginning with the decorated initial, 'Confiteantur tibi domine omnes reges terre ...' (May all the kings of the earth give glory to thee).
This image shows the reverse of a leaf with a decorated initial from a hymnal. This side of the leaf, the true recto, contains the hymn 'Plasmator hominis,' (Heavenly Creator of mankind; beginning imperfectly), which was sung on Friday Vespers.

This initial begins the hymn, 'Ut queant laxis resonare fibris ...' (So that your servants may sing with loosened voices), sung at Vespers for the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist (June 24).
