Initial C with a Saint, possibly St. Ambrose, praying to God The exact moment in the liturgy that this initial begins remains to be determined. Iconographic evidence points to the identification of this saint as St. Ambrose, bishop of Milan (c. 340 - April 4, 397) and one of the Doctors of the Church.
