Layout: 1 column, approx. 7-10 lines across the lower quarter of the page.
Script: Written in a humanistic cursive in brown ink.
Decoration: 3/4-page illustration on each recto, in brown ink with color wash, some bleed-through, twenty-seven in all.
Binding: 19th-century green morocco over boards, gilt fillet borders and edges, gilt filigree turn-ins, gilt-stamped corner florets, spine filigree gilt in compartments, title gilt-stamped on spine: "Profezie/ Pontificie/ dell'abat/ Gioachino/ e di / Giov. Mari/da/ Carallo"; marbled pastedowns and endleaves, 19th-century paper flyleaves.
Origin: Written in northern Italy after 1591 (Innocent IX, the latest named Pope, was enthroned that year).
Provenance: Title written in Italian, seventeenth century, on fol. 1: "Profeziei Pontificie del Abate Gioachimo/ agiunta alle profezie del Padre Giovanni Maria da Verallo Vercellese".
