Script: Written in black and red ink.
Collation: Parchment. i8 1-510 610+1 7-810 (preliminary signature and last two leaves blank, fol. 60 is a singleton)
Layout: Single column, 10 lines per column. First page has 10 lines within a decorative frame. Bounding and writing lines in blind. Pricking in margins.
Decoration: 27 illustrations in black ink within a frame outside the text. The illustrations depict scenes from the New Testament and are accompanied by a short handwritten text on the page opposite the drawing.
Binding: Wooden boards covered with brown sheepskin, cold-stamped with geometric patterns, smooth spine, in vellum case with laces.
Origin: Written in Ethiopia. Dated to 1850 in dealer's description.
