Layout: Written in 5 lines of text and music; ruled in plummet.
Script: Written in formal gothic script.
Decoration: One large initial in blue on a field of red penwork ornament.
Origin: Written in Spain during the 16th century.
Music: Contains staff notation (5 line)
Foliated in medieval red ink 'lvij' in upper corner and in black in 'vij' in outer margin.
Acquired by Peter Franck, German-born bookbinder of Gaylordsville and Sherman, CT, and donated to Vassar College before January 1952, when it was included in an exhibition about the Middle Ages (cf. Vassar Chronicle, January 16, 1952) - Keyword:
