Decoration: Polychrome decoration in red, yellow, blue; sūrah titles in flaking gold over yellow with outside margin medallion in gold and red or blue; yellow roundels at end of each verse; vocalizations marked in red; other small dots of yellow, red, and blue throughout the text; text divisions marked in red in the margin, sometimes with gold flake decoration. Two polychrome decorative... Binding: Brown leather over pasteboard with flap (Type II) with carrying case with flap. Outside covers blind stamped with mandorla with floral design, cornerpieces and frame; flap blind stamped with cornerpieces and partial frame. Slip case has matching blind stamped patterns on the front. Doublure is pinkish paper cut in a zigzag along the outer edge. Endbands in yellow and blue thread with... A number of leaves have been repaired. Formerly housed in a box labeled "al-Qurʻān Arabic MS. in Kufic III Century A.H." with "7 Cent. A.D." added in pencil.
