Blind embossed stamp with inscription "KI" in Cyrilic script on fol. 1a. Subject headings and notes to the reader on the margins. Excerpt quoting the Qurʼān on jihād on fol. 1a. One slip of paper... Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻUlūm adabīyah 32 Ḥ". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "673/2 Ḥ". Origin: Copy completed in Jumād[á] al-Awwal 1258 [June-July 1842] (colophon, fol. 441a). Patronage: Copied for Imām Shamīl ("imāmunā al-aʻẓam wa-ustādhunā al-akram Shamwīl"). See colophon, fol. 441a.
