Physical description: 21 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and overlining. Large red dots text-stops. Cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible. Laid lines visible on the surface. Some leaves are dyed in orange. The first leaves are damaged from dampness. Fol. 1: wear, some small losses.
Two spine labels (vertical), the first one reading "Ighāthat al-lahfān fī maṣāyid al-Shayṭān" (in Arabic script), the second "317" (in Arabic and Western numerals).
Collation: Paper, fol. ii, 342 + ii ; ii (modern paper) 110 (+2) 2-3110 32-3312 34 (6 leaves) ii (European paper with watermark) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "thānī" (see fol. 13a).
Origin: Copy completed on Friday 3 Shaʻbān 790 [August 1388] in Damascus by ...? [Hitti reads Jalāl] ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Ḥanbalī.
