The khuṭbah. is followed by an introduction (fol. 3a-10b: Muqaddimah fī bayān al-ḥājah ilá ʻilm al-tashrīḥ), the commentary begins on fol. 11a: ... الجملة الاولى من التعلىم الخامس من الفن الاول من الکتاب الاول فى العظام قلت ما ذکره جالىنوس من احوال العظام
According to a marginal note on fol. 535a, the commentator completed the section on embryology in Muḥarram 974H.
