First initial at the beginning of the codex was never completed. Provenance: Phillipps Ms. 477, formerly owned by Professor Leander Van Ess of Darmstadt, who sold it to Thomas Phillipps in 1824. "Hugo de S. Victore / fol. 43205 / LB 100627" in pencil on inside front cover. Gift of Alfred Clark Chapin. Purchased on behalf of the Chapin Library from L. C. Harper, 1926. German manuscript of chapters 1-30 and 32-71 of Hugo de S. Victore's Allegoriae Novi Testamenti. At the end of the codex are six lines from the Gesta Treverorum in the same hand, though much smaller characters.
