Calendar which lacks March-June (fol. 1v-4r), prayers of exorcism and benediction of salt and water for the blessing of holy water (fol. 4v), and Common of the Saints followed by gospel sequences and lections for use in the Commons of the Saints (fol. 132r-136v).
Collation: Parchment ; fol. v (later blue paper) + 137 ; foliation in red ink ; modern foliation in pencil.
Layout: 27-28 long lines per page.
Description: Rubricated ; 2-4 line red initials ; stress marks ; watermarks on later blue pages.
Origin: Southwestern Germany or the Rhineland in the late 11th or 12th century.
Purchased in 1806 by Andreas Wunder who added 5 blue paper leaves listing the contents. He donated the manuscript to the Gössweinstein parish church. Later owned by the Bateman family of Derbyshire, William Bateman and his son Thomas. Sold from their collection at Sotheby's in 1893.
