Binding of limp vellum with short fore-edge flaps, reusing part of a leaf from a 15th-century choir book; 17th-century handwritten label on spine, reading: S. Antoninus, De confessione, 1402 [date misread and apparently copied from colophon]. "The core of this manuscript contains a copy of the Latin Confessionale by Antoninus Florentinus or Antonio Pierozzi ... in the version known as "Defecerunt scrutantes scrutinio ... It is augmented by with ancillary texts and excerpts, including a model for confession in Italian and an index, to form a handy portable manual for confessors"--Bookdealer's description. Collation: i-viii⁸, ix⁸, xxi4⁴; paper, 112 leaves, preceded and followed by a single paper flyleaf, complete. Origin: Northern Italy. Layout: Single column, 25 lines.
