Collation: Parchment, fol. i + 309 + i; 116(-1) 2-416 518 6-1316 1412 15-1716 1816(-13, 14, 16) 1916 2014(-12, 13, 14).
Layout: 59 lines in two columns; fol. 283r-305r in 63 lines in three columns; ruled in plummet; prickings in outer margins.
Script: Written in Spanish gothic textualis media with pointed a and trailing terminal s; guides to rubricator present.
Decoration: Red initials with very bright blue flourishes alternating with dark blue initials with red flourishes up to 24 lines high. Free-floating pieces of red and dark blue feather-like and other decorative flourishings in margins.
Origin: Written ca. 1300, probably in Spain as suggested by the choice of prologues and presence of characteristically Spanish line endings in the script.
Former owner: Henry Probasco.
Erased inscription visible under ultraviolet light on reat pastedown: Ests libro es del monastiro[?] de Santa Maria al Paular.
16th century pen trials of Latin phrases and alphabets, erased on fol. 305v.; some marginal noted erased.
Fol. 281v, cross with three nails, drawn in pen probably dating from the early modern period.
