Collation: Parchment, fol. 58 + ii; 1-68 710. Seven diagrams on irregular inserts contained in first text. Modern foliation 1-66 includes diagrams on one flyleaf. Quires numbered in lower margin on recto of first leaf with late medieval arabic numerals
Layout: Written in 32 long lines; prickings in outer margins; ruled in hard point; fol. 62v-63v in double columns.
Script: Written in caroline textualis.
Decoration: Orange-red diagrams forming part of the original codex; fol. 65v, diagram in red. Gloss joined to text by complex emblematic tie notes. Fol. 6r, St. Gall neumes present in the gloss. White ivy stem initials drawn in orange, 4-8 lines high, on grounds of blue and green. Orange-red headings in mixed uncials and rustic capitals.
Origin: Written in Austria in the late 11th or early 12th century.
Former owner's inscription: Bibliothecae Admontis.
