Layout: Written in 31 long lines; canon written in 16 long lines; prickings in outer margins; ruled in brown ink.
Script: Written in Spanish textualis rotunda formata; vertical line enders characteristic of Spain.

Music: Noted music.
Origin: Written in Spain after 1461, as indicated by transalpine feast dates of calendar, script, and border decorations, for a Carthusian convent, as indicated by the calendar. It is possible that this book comes from the convent at Aniago, founded in 1441 by Mary of Aragon, wife of John II of Castile.
Number 40 from the collection of Henry Probasco.
Former owner's inscriptions: fol. 203r, a sixteenth-century corrector has added to the Suffrage to All Saints, "adque (sic) beati Brunonis confesoris tui;" fol. 203v, in the Votive Mass, "Pro gernalis," the same corrector has added "Et famulos tuos, papam, regem, reginam et principes nostros cum prole regia et nos ab omni adversitate custodi ..." This is the same hand that added text no. 18.
