Collation: Parchment, fol. 255; a leaf removed after fol. 14; collation problematic; catchwords present surrounded by a variety of decorative pen flourishes; leaves signed alphabetically with roman numerals sometimes in red, mostly trimmed; guides for rubicator present.
Layout: Written in 16 long lines, calendar in 18 long lines; ruled in lead point.
Script: Written in Italian gothic textualis rotunda media.

Decoration: Historiated initials: Eleven similar initials 5-7 lines high: fol 16v, (the Nativity); fol. 27r, (the Annunciation to the Shepherds in the Field); fol. 32r, (the Presentation in the Temple); fol. 36v, (the Adoration of the Magi); fol. 40v, (the Flight into Egypt); fol. 45r, (Christ and the Doctors); fol. 52v, (the Baptism of Christ); fol. 78r, (King David in prayer); fol. 101v...
2. Decoration: Minor red initials with violet flourishes alternating with blue initials with red flourishes.
Origin: Written in central Italy, probably in Gubbio, in the first half of the 15th century, probably for a member of the Franciscan order, as indicated by the calendar and the formulas of confession; Ubaldus of Gubbio listed twice in the litany; Marianus and Jacobus, patrons of the cathedral in Gubbio, also in the litany; other saints of Umbria and central Italy in the litany and the calendar.
