Manuscript music. Title supplied by cataloger. Fragments from an antiphonary, possibly from Spain, ca. 1300, used as front and back pastedowns in a 16th-century Spanish gradual, Newberry manuscript Case MS 5088. Latin text in two columns, interspersed with sections of musical scores of chants in Catalan notation, including neumes. Decoration: Small portrait, possibly of Christ, Job, or a saint, in red, blue, and purple on a gold background; decorated initials in blue and red ink; section titles in red ink. Encased in two mylar sleeves, each matted to 74 x 94 cm. Some loss of text due to staining and tearing.
