Physical description: 21 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. Thin European paper with watermark. Marginal annotations. This copy comprises two parts apparently written by two different hands: fol. 1 to 27 and fol. 28 to end. Leaves cut between fol. 27 and 28, apparently with no loss of text. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Uṣūl 69". Inscription in Arabic numerals on a label pasted on the pastedown of upper cover: "1168/2 Ḥ".
Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on a Wednesday ("yawm chahar shambah") at the end of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1071 [Dec. 1660] by ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm (fol. 215a).
