Catchwords on the last verso of each gathering except the first, ninth, and last (f. 23v, 33v, 45v, 57v, 69v, 79v, 89v, 109v, 119v, 131v, 143v). Some signatures visible in later gatherings, lower right recto. Layout: Written in 2 columns of 43-60 lines; frame-ruled in lead. Script: Written in Gothic cursive script by at least 3 hands, with the first line of text in some sections in larger calligraphic script. Decoration: 7 geometric diagrams in red and black (inside upper cover); 21-line drawing of Christ in the tomb in black and red ink in first column of text, surrounded by the opening words of the text in calligraphic letters (f. 2r); several 2-line to 7-line initials in red ink and red paragraph marks and initials touched with red in first 3 gatherings (f. 1r-45v). 4-line to 8-line initials in... Binding: Contemporary (15th-century) half calf over boards, with remnants of 2 pairs of clasps; rebacked. Origin: Written in Italy, possibly Verona (contemporary ownership inscription, f. 1r), in the mid-15th century. Formerly owned by Brother John of the Chapel of Verona (contemporary inscription, Iste liber est fratris Johannis a capello Veronensis, f. 1r).
