Physical description: 21 lines per page, in four columns; written in small nastaʻliq in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Text framed in red and gold; columns separated by double gold lines. Headings in red and occasionally blue; catchwords. Text occasionally written on a diagonal. Lacunae after fol. 108, 109; fol. 228-229 pasted together. Some staining and smudging, mild insect damage...
Decoration: Small illuminated ʻunwāns in gold and color mark the beginning of each text, except for text 3 which is missing its opening page.
Origin: Texts 1-3 completed in 1062 H [1651 or 2] (fol. 165a). Text 4 dated 16 Dhū al-Ḥijjah (fol. 228a). Remainder of text completed by Muʼmin ibn Muḥammad Ṣaḥḥāf at the beginning of Shawwāl [106]9 H [22 June 1659?] (fol. 352b).
On fol. 1b, 165a, note stating the name of the scribe and date of the text (from colophons), dated 27 Ṣafar 1340 H [30 October 1921]. - Keyword:
