Title from fol. 2a. On the same folio, the text is also attributed to Shaykh Ṭūsī with the title Kitāb-i Shamar-i [read S̲amar?] shajar; however, no record of a work on geomancy with this title or the same incipit is listed in Mudarris Raz̤avī's biography or in Storey's Persian literature.

Physical description: 11 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq and naskh in black on grayish-tan glazed, laid Arabic paper with visible fibers. Rubrication and catchwords. A few paper repairs with missing text filled in. On first four leaves there are spots where the paper has worn away, resulting in slight loss of text. Damp staining in lower margin; some smudging.
