On spine: Partially torn label reading "[Qiblat] al-āfāq" in Arabic script.
Physical description: 14 lines per page; written in neat naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubrication and catchwords; Arabic quotations vocalized and overlined in red. A few marginal notes. Foliated in Arabic script 1-59 beginning on fol. 2a. Insert between fol. 32-33. Edges ragged on first and last few leaves; tears in first leaf. Light smudging and staining.
Origin: Copy completed 6 Rabīʻ I 1097 H. [31 January 1686] by ʻAlī Aṣghar [...] Muḥammad (name partially obliterated) (fol. 60a).
On fol. 60a: Owner's statement and stamp, crossed out, and owner's statement of Ibn Muḥammad Ismāʻīl al-Ḥusaynī.
