Illuminated ʻunwān of amateur quality on fol. 1b in gold and color; text framed in black and red on fol. 1b-2a. Rubrication and catchwords. Numerous paper repairs, particularly to fol. 1-16, 160, but no loss of text. Some staining and smudging. In good condition. Origin: Text 1, 1229 H [1813 or 14], Abū al-Qāsim ibn Mullā Muḥammad Ṣāliḥ Khalīl (fol. 129a). Text 2, 19 Ṣafar 1230 H [31 January 1815], Muḥammad Yūsuf ... (fol. 160b); text is in the same hand as text 1 through fol. 156a, change of hands on fol. 157a. On fol. 1a, partially smudged note explaining the reason for the copying of this ms., dated Rajab 1230 H [June 1815].
