Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in small, neat naskh in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords; a few marginal notes. Numerous charts and diagrams. Occasional staining and smudging; in excellent condition. Origin: Text 2, 21 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1031 H [27 September 1622] (fol. 111b). On fol. 93b, the original colophon has been effaced; on fol. 93b, 111b, a note by a different hand indicates that the texts were originally completed in Dhū al-Ḥijjah 912 H [1507], which is later than the date mentioned by Storey for the Sharḥ (899 H = 1493 or 4). On fol. 1a, several owner's stamps and notes: note and stamp of Abū Ṭālib al-Ḥusaynī, 1152 H [1739 or 40]; stamp of Muḥammad Muqīm, 1057 H [1647 or 8]; note by Shukr Allāh ibn Maḥmūd al-Ḥusaynī; stamp dated 1097 H [1685 or 6].
