Later roman foliation in black ink, predates losses. Significant rodent damage, many margins cut away. Layout: 1 column, 14 lines. Bounding lines full-length on all sides, writing lines doubled, in blind or light plummet, prickings extant in inner and outer margins. Square notation on a five-line red staff. Script: Written in a rotunda script in black ink. Red rubrics. Decoration: 2- to 3-line initials throughout in colors. Origin: Written in Spain in the fifteenth century. Nineteenth-century notation on fol. 42 reads "This book once chained to a pillar in a church in Madrid, Spain. For further information apply to C. F. Libbie book auctions, Boston."
