Collation: Parchment, fol. i + 128 + i; 1-310 48 510 68 7-1010 116 1210 13-148; catchwords placed at the end of each quire, lower right hand corner, perpendicular to text block.
Layout: Frame-ruled in dry point with lines extending to borders of page; 17 lines per page. Prickings visible on some pages.
Script: Text in humanistic book script; titles and names of characters in rustic capitals.
Decoration: Title page of each work is illuminated. Fol. 1r has 5-line initial inhabited by Cicero, crowned with laurel. Border decoration of flowers, animals, putti, and foliage in green, blue and red on gold background. 5 black and white medaillions in the style of ancient cameos at the corners and top. 2 small color portraits at sides and coat of arms at bottom. Binding: Contemporary (?) binding, blind-stamped with rope pattern; 3 raised bands sewn in, end bands sewn in; surface cracking of spine leather, front hinge split at top (1"), 2 fore-edge clasps missing; all edges gilt and gauffered.
Origin: Produced in Italy (possibly Ferrara) between 1470 and 1490.
