Collation: Paper (similar to Briquet "Fleur" 6644: Florence 1444-46), fol. i + 226 + i; 1-2010 2112 2210 234; catchwords at the end of each quire.
Layout: 30 long lines; double vertical bounding lines ruled in hard point.
Script: Written in humanistic script by one hand.
Decoration: Large 16-line initials, partially painted in gold, in the shape of a stylized bird (fol. 40v); each book opens with 6-line initial in red or blue with infilling of the other color; flourishing of borders of the initials often running the length of text; running book title in red.
Binding: Vellum over pasteboard; hollow back; sewn end-bands laced in; contiguous endsheets and pastedowns.
