Belonged in the 15th cent. to one Bardo, who used the volume as security for a loan of 12 solidi from Bernardino Driezo, according a ricordo on fol.54v. Passed from the library of Bernard Rosenthal to the Bancroft Library. Collation: ii (i=18th cent. paper with visible watermark; ii=original flyleaf) + 54 + ii (original flyleaf made from 18th cent. paper with a different watermark + flyleaf from another manuscript); 1-58 68 (with stub visible after fol. 48); catchwords in bottom center.
Layout: 24 lines to a page; ruled in lead, with vertical lines running all the way down the page. Prickings visible. Foliation: fol. 1-10: later foliation in ink in arabic numerals; fol. 11-54: modern foliation in pencil in arabic numerals over earlier foliation in ink in roman numerals (often almost completely rubbed out).
Script: Rounded gothic minuscule (14th cent.), with initials and incipits in red. Cursive script on fol. iiv.
Binding: 18th cent. vellum. Original binding included: 2 parchment leaves from a 14th cent. grammar, possibly Donatus, now preserved within 18th cent. binding.
Origin: Produced in Italy in the 14th century.
