Decoration: Diagram on f. 265v, initials and capitals in red ink. Binding: 15th cent., wooden boards, stamped brown calf, corner pieces, remains of clasps; rebacked. Origin: Written at Erfurt, Germany in 1437 (Monastery of St. Peter). Provenance: Benedictine monastery of St. Peter at Erfurt (not "Martin Luther's Monastery", as asserted by Sotheby, nor the Carthusian monastery at Erfurt, as asserted by De Ricci). Obtained before 1878 by A.D. White from Sotheby, bearing the catalogue no. 2144. Former shelfmark: MSS Bd. Rare BX P97+ Related shelfmark: MS B.22 (De Ricci) The present manuscript was not known to J. Theele, but his description of other manuscripts from St. Peter's at Erfurt provides useful historical context for Misc. Bd. Ms. 47.
