The forward pastedown contains a statement of origin and table of contents in a Gothic cursive hand: "Liber iste est fratrum Carthusiensium prope Erffordiam." It also identifies a scribe: "Liber iste est conscriptus per dominum Mathiam professum huius domus." However, the manuscript is written in more than one hand; the hand inscribing the pastedown differs from those found among the leaves...
Layout: Written in approximately 15 to 30 long lines, varying greatly in different sections of the codex.
Script: Gothic cursive.
Binding: 15th cent., stamped calf; remains of clasp; label on front cover, now illegible, ends with library number "DE-35" in Gothic hand.
Accompanying materials: 10 cloth index tabs.
Origin: Written at the Carthusian monastery of Erfurt in Germany, 15th century.
