Collation: 131 (parchment, 1 and 2 are pastedowns)+ ii (parchment, i and ii are pastedowns): 1⁸ (wants 3-6) + 2⁸ (wants 3-6) + 3⁸ (wants 4, 5) + 4-7⁸ + 8⁸ (wants 2-8) + 9⁸ + 1 leaf after 8 + 10-11⁸ + 12⁸ (wants 5-8) + 13⁸ + 14⁸ (wants 7) + 15⁸ (wants 2) + 16⁸ + 17⁸ (wants 1) + 18⁸ + 19⁸ (wants 7-8) + 20⁸ (wants 5-8). Two quires of eight leaves missing after 8.
Foliation: Modern foliation in pencil in lower right corner (1-5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 23, 30, 45, 50, 60, 61, 62, 70, 80, 90, 100, 106, 110, 113), incorrectly placed on the subsequent leaf beginning with number 50. Foliation supplied by cataloger and does not include pastedowns.
Catchwords: Horizontal catchwords in lower right on folios 2v, 6v, 20v, 36v, 44v, 53v, 70v, 89v, 96v, 111v, 119v, mostly trimmed.
Layout: Written in two columns of 27 lines, above top line. Ruled in lead, with full-length double vertical bounding lines. Pricking marks visible on upper, lower and outer margins on most leaves.
Script: Written by a single hand in Gothica textualis libraria.
Decoration: 3-line puzzle initials S, M, F in red and blue with pen-flourished quarter bar borders in red and blue extending from the initials on folios 12v, 45r, 113v respectively; 2- to 3-line initials in red with blue penwork and in blue with red penwork throughout; sentence initials highlighted in red; paragraph marks in alternating red and blue; rubrics in red; running titles in red and...
Binding: Modern, probably mid-nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. Bound in light brown leather over thick paper boards. Blind-tooled dark brown leather covers, possibly from the heavily damaged older binding of the manuscript, which perhaps was dated to the sixteenth century, partly adhered over the light brown leather covers. Sewn on three alum-tawed split thongs.
Origin: Probably written in the Benelux countries in the first half of the fourteenth century.

In good condition except for missing and damaged leaves. Folios 2 and 38 are torn, with loss of text. Minor water damage on the head and the fore-edge. Minor imperfections and signs of early repairs on parchment, including evidence of repairs by sewing.
