- Note:
- The names "Ioannes Baptista Tacchinus Vtriusque Iuris Doctor" and "Augustinus de G[?]lis utriusque iuris Doctor" are written in later hands on ff. 51r and 101v respectively.
Produced in Northern Italy, probably Ferrara, to judge by the style of illumination and peculiarities of language.
Script: Written in a humanist script in brown ink, 18 lines per page; written area 73 x 40 mm.
The ms. is not in the apparatus of the critical edition by C. Grayson (Bari, 1974) and it appears to be at a distance from other witnesses to the text.
Decoration: 1. Illuminated initial P and a floral border containing two roundels (a bird on a branch and a woman seated) and a scroll inscribed "Manus A Hieronim" (f. 1r). 2. Illuminated initials L and E (51v, 52r) surrounded by patterns of fine gold lines and flowers extending into the margins. 3. Binding: early binding in full brown morocco, the front and back tooled in gilt.
