Probably illuminated for Leonello d'Este, Duke of Ferrara 1441-50, by Giorgio d'Alemagna and others. For other opinions see sale-catalog descriptions of other leaves in curatorial file.
In a tray case, 29 cm.
The original ms. belonged to the Rolls family, later Barons Llangattock (their sale, Christies, 8 Dec. 1958, lot 190 (wrongly called a Missal)). It was broken up shortly thereafter by Goodspeed.
