Written in a small roman script, 33 lines per page, in black ink with rubrics in red, some initials in blue and green. There are 12 small historiated initials. Title from caption, f. 7r. Written in Florence, to judge from the presence of offices for some Florentine bishops (see ms. note tipped in at front of volume). Bound in 18th-century quarter brown leather and paper, similarly mottled. Bookplate with an unidentified cardinal's arms. Bequest of Philip Hofer, 1984.
