In an 18th-cent. French (?) marbled calf binding.
In a protective tray case, 27 cm.
Traditionally said to have belonged to the Jesuit College at Agen, France (no ex-libris); sold by Thorpe, London, 1836, no. 75; to Sir Thomas Phillipps (MS 9460); his sale, London, Sotheby's, 1908, no. 44, to Maggs. Placed by J. Martini in a sale by Anderson, 14 Dec. 1909, no. 408; purchased by John Batterson Stetson (his bookplate).
