- Written in northern Italy in a gothic bookhand, with frontispiece border, unidentified coat of arms (partly effaced) at bottom flanked by two naked youths, and decorated initials at book divisions.
In an early 19th-cent. English russia binding with gold and blind tooling.
In a tray case, 26 cm.
Unidentified arms of the original owner (f. 1r); belonged to William Roscoe; his sale, Winstanley, Liverpool, 19 Aug. 1816, no. 1789, to Ford; Charles Eliot Norton.
