Title from incipit.
Written in northeastern Italy or possibly in Spain in a current gothic script, and decorated with one historiated initial, illustrating St. Jerome, and colored initials throughout text.
In a 15th-cent. Italian or Spanish alum-tawed skin binding, stained green.
In a tray case, 20 cm.
Perhaps once owned by the New York dealer Lathrop C. Harper (per Bond and Faye); belonged to Imre de Vegh of New York.
Gift of Imre de Vegh, honorary Curator of Eastern European History and Literature, 1944.
