Written in northern Italy in a gothic book hand in black ink in two columns. A commentary in a smaller hand in brown ink surrounds the main text. A later secretary hand has added comments at the foot of the recto and in various places on the verso. Initial letters are in red and blue. At the beginning of Book 1 there is a miniature of the Trinity and an anthropomorphic initial I. Bequest of Philip Hofer, 1984.
