Transcription, written in an unidentified hand, in Italy; begins imperfectly. Text preceded by table of contents, which begins with Book III. Rubricated chapter headings, red and blue colored initials, some with elaborate penwork, appear throughout text.
Prologue and table of contents (Books I and II), written in a later hand, were added as f. 1r. Pen drawings in red ink decorate the folio, illustrating agricultural equipment, including plows and a wheelbarrow, in the upper and lower margins, and grape vines in the left and right borders.
In an 18th-cent. English russia binding.
In a protective tray case, 32 cm.
